Blurgs AI is a deep-tech company building operational intelligence for high-noise environments, oceans, coasts, and contested maritime domains. Founded in 2020 by IIT Madras alumni Roshan Raj Mohanty (CEO) and Dr Avinash Kori (PhD AI, Imperial College London), the team turns satellite, aerial, and multi-sensor data into actionable situational awareness for defence and commercial maritime operators. On the defence side, platforms support threat detection, adversary monitoring, and cross-domain awareness. On the commercial side, they deliver real-time visibility for ports, fleets, shipyards, fisheries, and conservation partners. Customers built before institutional funding include the Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard, Bharat Electronics, DRDO labs, Mumbai Port Authority, Dubai Maritime City, and The Nature Conservancy. In July 2026 Blurgs raised $2.2M led by Pravega Ventures and Shastra VC to deepen core tech, expand the team, and scale internationally, Make-in-India deep tech for global maritime and national-security markets.
